Subject: This show is KILLER!!
The previous reviewer either has exceptionally high standards of excellence, or was listening to another show. The 1st set closer is Whiskey, not Bigger Isn't Better.

The sound quality of this show is fantastic - so, so clean and clear.

The setlist is great, too! When I think of definitive SCI songs, Pirates, Water and RTW are up at the top of my list. Lots of great bluegrass, too.

This was back when the band still billed themselves as progressive bluegrass, back before Billy got a solid body guitar, before the faux electronica of Untying the Knot.

But there's plenty of funk, plenty of loud (guitar sounding) electric mandolin, plenty of stratospheric jamming, and Travis shows us how he got it done for years before the addition of Jason Hann.

This was my first incident. I had never even heard of the band, but the show fell on my birthday and it seemed like a fun thing to do. This show made a lifelong convert out of me.

If you're the kind of person who likes to download, and if you're into the Cheese enough to have made it this far, then you really should add this to your collection.

BIB: high energy, starts off pretty good and the jam is somewhat light. but not bad for a 1st set closer.

Sand: normal
Joyful: normal
rtw: won't you take me to a funky town tease...starts at around 15:40 or so.

Mike is pretty clean, flubs a few notes as usual, but hey who doesn't??
